Bob Johnson has served in financial management positions in several New York City hospitals.He has a wide array of experience managing the following Departments: Patient Accounts (including Billing, Credit, Collection and Cashier), Accounting (including General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Fund Accounting and Risk Management), Admitting, Data Processing. Bob also spent four years as a healthcare consultant for a CPA firm that specialized in hospital-based physician practices.

Mr. Johnson is a CPA licensed to practice in New York, and holds an MBA in Finance and Investments from Baruch College of the City University of New York and a BBA in Accounting and Data Processing from Pace University.

Bob has been a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association since 1979, and a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional since 1977. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and has been a member of MENSA since the late Sixties.

Bob Johnson has overseen Strang’s finances for the last thirteen years, during which time he has selected and implemented three different accounting systems to accommodate organizational growth. This includes the design – from scratch – of the chart of accounts used by Strang and of all of Strang’s custom financial management reports.

Bob has served as Interim Administrator of Strang on two occasions for a total of six months. He has been the de facto Director of Human Resources for the last five years – and is the Plan Administrator for Strang’s pension plan.
